I understand the importance and the structure of the wedding day.  There are wheels within wheels and cogs within the wheels working to ensure your day runs smoothly.  I will gain insight into how you want events to unfold and I will be able to manage the timing structure throughout the day.  This allows everyone else – bride, groom, parents, guests and staff working around me to relax and enjoy each and every moment.

 Wedding photography and how I work

I will take about 1,500 photographs during your wedding celebrations, many of which you will not be aware I have taken.  The moments that define the spirit of a wedding day may not always be the most obvious ones – a telling glance between sisters, an emotional tear shed by the mother of the bride, a father’s pride and joy, the elation of good friends, and a quiet moment between newlyweds.  All this may be just beyond the circle of celebration.

 My hope is to be as unobtrusive as possible, yet I will capture the essence of the day with the same insight and freshness that distinguishes my work as a landscape photographer. I will organize and take all the set photographs you require.  I am happy to stage-manage as many formal and group shots, as you would like. Attention to detail is very important making sure all button holes are uniformed and cravats are the same, In this way your portfolio will document the day and record many unique moments.

 I aim to create a unique record of all the most personal and perfect memories of your day.  I want my images of your wedding day to evoke the emotions of the moments I have captured.  I implement my own secrets learned through years of experience as a professional photographer to anticipate, manage and save those moments to give you life-long enjoyment of your wedding portfolio.

Before the wedding day –

I need to get an understanding of what you want to happen on the day, the photos you require and how you would like me to conduct myself during the day.  I am happy to stage-manage as many, or as few, formal and group shots as you would like.  My work will document the day and record many unique moments.

We will also work out a plan to cover, for example, timings, the movement of people from church to reception venue and the best places for your photographs. With my experience I can suggest some ideas so that you don’t have to think or worry about any of the organizational side of things on the day.  The best photographs are taken when you are relaxed and enjoying yourself.

I believe this meeting is very important as it allows me to understand the structure of your day.  I will gain insight into how you want events to unfold and I will be able to manage the timings throughout the day.  By meeting you beforehand, I hope to give you the confidence to relax and enjoy your day from beginning to end.

 On the day –

I will be at your wedding not only as a photographer, but also to help you in the running of the day.   For example, I will liaise with the car people, the ushers, the vicar or registrar and the co-coordinator at the venue who, in turn, will keep the Chef well advised as to exact timings.  It is vital to keep Chef happy – after all he is preparing a special meal for your guests and he wants it to be his best.  I will be on-hand to assist the ushers and I will even make sure all the button holes are correct!

 In other words, I hope to ensure that your day flows without any fuss.  This way, you can enjoy a glass of champagne with your family and friends while I take pictures of happy guests and a relaxed and stress-free bride!

 After the day –

Back at my studio, the pictures will be edited, at which time they will be cropped to a standard size.  They are taken in such a high format that I will be able to crop into an image, then blow-up that part of the image to any size you require without losing quality.

All the images will be available to you as colour, black and white, sepia or a mixture (i.e. part of the photograph in black and white and part of the same image in colour.)

The pictures will be presented to you in a booklet and on a disc for viewing on your computer, as well as being on my website for which you can have a password to enable your family and friends to view the entire portfolio. 

My fee -

PACKAGE 1 - £550.00

·       3 Hours coverage

·      Unlimited number of pictures taken both formal and informal

·      Your photographs are stored, edited, backed-up and then presented on my website

·      You receive a CD of all the images in high resolution format for you to print from

PACKAGE 2 - £1100 

·      All day coverage beginning two hours before the ceremony and continuing until guests sit down for food

·      Unlimited number of pictures taken both formal and informal

·      Your photographs are stored, edited, backed-up and then presented on my website

·      You receive a CD of all the images in high resolution format for you to print from
